Motorola Solutions Concealed Weapons Detection (CWD), powered by Evolv Technology, is designed to address the active shooter epidemic by taking a proactive approach to keeping people, students, ardent fans, campuses, stadiums, or critical buildings safe. Using advanced sensors, analytical cameras, and artificial intelligence to detect a wide range of concealed weapons and threats, it is the world’s first and only touchless security screening solution that allows you to walk through without emptying pockets or bags and can screen over 3,600 visitors per hour.
Respond faster to critical events with eyes on the scene using built-in Avigilon Modular cameras
and Next-Generation Video Analytics for faster individual identification and classification.
Traditional security screening was not designed for today's dynamic threats. Unlike metal detectors, manual bag checks, wanding, and other traditional solutions, Motorola Solutions’ CWD offers an innovative approach to physical security screening.
Concealed Weapons Detection (CWD) accelerates physical security screening while maintaining the highest degree of weapons detection accuracy. It eliminates the friction that visitors, fans, patrons, employees, and students typically experience moving through security by screening them in a touchless manner. This helps reduce the security risk of crowded security lines. It also drastically reduces human errors by security guards.
Security professionals must grapple with the staggering increase in the violent crime rate and explore advanced alternatives to outdated conventional security devices like metal detectors and hand wands. Traditional security systems are prohibitively slow to use while screening many visitors, students, or employees for concealed weapons. A single error might lead to unsafe conditions that may turn fatal.
Benefits of Integrating with Avigilon Unity Video
Integrating the CWD’s capabilities with Motorola Solutions’ AI-powered video management software, Avigilon Unity Video, helps customers see, understand, and act on threats with more speed and accuracy than ever before, making it possible to deliver unprecedented safety while also enhancing the visitor experience.
Once a threat is detected and confirmed by a security screener, alarms are sent directly to Unity Video. Built-in Avigilon H5A Modular cameras onboard the towers then stream live video to Unity Video and leverage cameras’ analytic capabilities, such as Avigilon Appearance Search and Facial Recognition.
